Galleries are located throughout campus and downtown Springfield.

Our commitment to you

The Art + Design Department stands with our BIPOC students and coworkers in the fight against racism and discrimination of any kind. Using art and design to communicate the history and intersectionality of human lives is central to our mission through education and civic engagement.

We are committed to addressing the needs of equity, diversity, and inclusion. We stand together, dedicated to social justice and respect for individual and group identities including, but not limited to, age, sex, race, color, socio-economic status, disability, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, culture, and national and ethnic origin. We are eager to listen, learn, and do better to dismantle the systemic injustices that impact us all.

We will do better. Discover more about our commitment.

Our mission

As a collective network of galleries, we seek to:

  • Connect patrons and students through engaging exhibitions exploring contemporary art and cultural trends.

  • Foster an environment of equity, diversity, exploration, and experimentation for Missouri State students.
  • Dedicate a minimum of 50% annual programming to artists, designers and scholars from historically underrepresented communities to focus on elevating those formally silenced voices and educating our community through equal representation in all exhibitions and programming.

We look forward to seeing you in the galleries and online.
