As a collective network of galleries, we seek to:
- Connect with patrons and students through engaging exhibitions exploring contemporary art and culture.
- Support the mission and legacy of the Art and Design Department.
- Serve as a professional development resource for students preparing for careers in the visual arts and design.
- Foster an environment of exploration and experimentation for Missouri State students, the Springfield community, and the Midwest region.

Using art and design to communicate the history and intersectionality of human lives is central to our mission through education and civic engagement. The Art and Design Department is committed to active, intentional and ongoing engagement with all people, in the curriculum, and in communities. We aim to increase one’s awareness, content knowledge, cognitive sophistication and empathic understanding of the complex ways individuals interact within systems and institutions.

Exhibiting with the University Galleries
