Mission Statement

As part of the downtown campus IDEA Commons initiative, the Robert and Margaret Carolla Arts Exhibition Center and Brick City Gallery are committed to serving their communities through exploring what’s next in visual and material culture. Both galleries seek to exhibit professional and student artwork to engage and enrich the academic and cultural experience through: 

  • Expanding awareness of and accessibility to the arts and promote an understanding of the importance of the arts in culture.
  • Offering exhibitions, interpretation, and associated programming exploring trends in contemporary art and the evolving significance of art in relation to culture and society.
  • Serving the educational needs of the department of art and design of Missouri State University by providing a professional space for undergraduate and graduate students to exhibit work throughout their academic career.

The Robert and Margaret Carolla Arts Exhibition Center is closed for all national and university holidays.

Art Walk: The Robert and Margaret Carolla Arts Exhibition Center is a proud member of Springfield's First Friday Art Walk. The first Friday of every month between August-December and February-May, the Robert and Margaret Carolla Arts Exhibition Center will be open 6-9 p.m. as part of the city of Springfield's First Friday Art Walk.

Location: The Robert and Margaret Carolla Arts Exhibition Center is at 326 N. Boonville Ave, Springfield, Missouri.
